After we learned Joe Musgrove was going to start the season on the IL, it seemed like Julio Teheran had a really good chance of making the team but that ends up not being the case. He, along with seven other Padres were notified today that they weren’t going to make the Opening Day roster.
Brandon Dixon, who was fighting for a bench spot, has been sent down to Triple-A El Paso. Drew Carlton, Moises Lugo, Tim Lopes, Alfonso Rivas and Pedro Severino were re-assigned to minor league camp.
