Padres revert back to form, beat Marlins 2-1

Randy Vasquez made his 20th start of the season for the San Diego Padres when they started a three-game series against the Miami Marlins at loanDepot Park, Monday. Vasquez has not factored in the decision in his last 10 starts, which included another 4 1/3 innings in a 2-1 Padres win.

Vasquez has not earned a win or a loss since his start against the Toronto Blue Jays on May 21. Over his last seven starts, Vasquez has allowed 35 hits in 35 2/3 innings. He’s allowed 15 runs and 13 walkouts, while striking out 13.

San Diego scored two runs in the top of the second inning in support of Vasquez.
