The beauty of baseball is that you play until the final out is recorded. The Rockies were one out away from defeating the Padres, 5-4. However, Fernando Tatis Jr. had other ideas. On a 2-1 pitch with two outs in the top of the ninth, Tatis Jr. connected on a 92-mph fastball and sent it into the left field bleachers at Coors Field, tying the game at five a piece.
The Padres didn’t stop there. Wade Davis walked Trent Grisham and Manny Machado, putting two on for Tommy Pham.
