Padres offense lackluster in 7-1 loss to Braves

The momentum the San Diego Padres built with their 2-1 win to snap a six-game losing streak Friday seemed to disappear before the first pitch against the Atlanta Braves in their 7-1 loss, Saturday.

The projected starter for the Padres was Michael King and he was scratched from his start with shoulder tightness less than an hour before game time. San Diego was forced into a bullpen game, which allowed Sean Reynolds to make his first MLB start. Reynolds allowed three runs in 2 2/3 innings on six hits.

The word is that Michael King slept on his shoulder awkwardly.
