Padres notes: Paddack on the attack; France turns two; bullpen battling

Padres rookie right-hander Chris Paddack did what he had said he needed to do — got back to being himself.

“The biggest thing is I have to go out there and stay with my attack,” Paddack said the day before Thursday’s start at Oracle Park. “I’ve been getting away from my game plan a little bit, giving too much credit to the hitters. … I feel like I’ve been trying to get too involved with the numbers. ‘So and so can’t hit a curveball’ instead of, you know, fastball, change-up, curve, it doesn’t matter what it is.
