This could get ugly if the Padres are not diligent.

The team that strikes out against right-handed pitchers as frequently as any other team will over the next three games in Cincinnati face right-handed starters who are among the major league leaders in strikeouts.

The Reds’ Trevor Bauer, Sonny Gray and Luis Castillo rank in the top 20 in strikeouts per batter faced and strikeouts per nine innings.

The Reds are the only team to have three starters in the top 20 in strikeouts per batter faced and one of two teams to have three starters in the top 20 in strikeouts per nine.
