Padres No. 1 in All-MLB nominees

On Thursday afternoon, Major League Baseball announced all of their nominees across each position for their All-MLB teams, and the Padres ended up with nine, the most among among any one team in the majors.

Those nominees include superstar Fernando Tatis (shortstop), Manny Machado (third base), Jake Cronenworth (second base), Trent Grisham (centerfield), Wil Myers (right field), Austin Nola (catcher), Dinelson Lamet (starting pitcher), Drew Pomeranz (reliever), and Trevor Rosenthal (reliever).

Machado and Grisham were both finalists for a Golden Glove Award at each of their respective positions this post season with Tatis being one of the biggest snubs in MLB.
