Padres complete wild comeback to take series against Dodgers

Just when you think the home-run streak had to end, Fernando Tatis Jr. eeked out a bit more magic as the star shortstop recorded his fifth home in the last three games, helping to spur life into a Padres team that entered the seventh inning facing a six-run deficit.

But over the game’s final three innings, the Friars rattled off six-straight runs capped off by Manny Machado’s RBI single to drive in Tatis which forced the contests into extra innings. The intense, yet uber-entertaining matchup finally came to a close in the bottom of the 11th when the Dodgers couldn’t answer Eric Hosmer’s go-ahead sacrifice fly in the top of the inning.
