Just when the San Diego Padres thought their team was getting back to full strength, Fernando Tatis Jr. took a fastball off his left forearm from Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Mitch Keller in the top of the third inning, and exited the game.
Tatis Jr. was hit by the pitch and walked away from the batters box. He crouched down in the grass and Padres manager Mike Shildt and the San Diego trainer came out to check on him. Tatis Jr. would eventually stand up and walk off the field, into the dugout and to the clubhouse.
The last guy the Padres need to be without pic.
