Padres beat Giants 6-1 despite Paddack’s early exit

The Padres used a 3-run first inning to jump out ahead of the Giants early and ousted the Giants by a score of 6-1. However, starting pitcher Chris Paddack left the contest early due to an apparent ankle sprain.

Mitch Moreland got San Diego on the board first with a two-run double to score both Trent Grisham and Fernando Tatis Jr. (both singles). New Padre Austin Nola then followed that with his own double to score Moreland from second.

The lone run of the night for San Francisco came from a Wilmer Flores solo home run in the top of the second.
