Padres 7, Brewers 3: Offense beats up Milwaukee

New Padre Jarred Cosart didn’t have the greatest Petco Park debut, lasting just three and a third innings before handing off the ball to the bullpen. But the offense had his back, putting up seven runs to make the Brewers look just as weak as the beer their ballpark is named after. Four different Friars had multi-hit games, with Travis Jankowski’s 3-for-3 night leading the way.

The scoring started in the second, with Ryan Schimpf continuing his extra base ways and hitting a leadoff double. Jabari Blash took one for the team, and then both runners advanced on a wild pitch.
