The Padres get one last taste of AT&T before the end of the 2018, and they started this final series against the Giants with a watchable game. That’s thanks to some stellar pitching from Bryan Mitchell and a peppering of offense that didn’t seem to show up much in the previous series.
Mitchell was able to last until the very last batter until Kirby Yates had to come in and finish things up with a K. Before that, however, Mitchell was dealing. He completely shut down the Giants, despite allowing 7 hits, relying on 12 groundouts and 7 strikeouts.
