Batter’s box: Wil Myers’ primary focus since the end of a disappointing 2019 has been staying with pitches longer, allowing his quick hands and raw strength to accomplish what many batters can’t — do damage on pitches that have traveled further across the plate. So his home run in the sixth inning was particularly gratifying in that it was a line drive over the right field wall.
