What were the most interesting and unusual things to happen on Monday’s version of Opening Day? Here’s a handy list, via the Elias Sports Bureau.

No team pounded the ball like the Dodgers did. They drubbed the Padres 15-0 in Andy Green’s managerial debut. It was the biggest margin of victory in an Opening Day shutout and the second-biggest margin of defeat in a managerial debut, surpassed only by Henry Larkin of the 1890 Cleveland Infants in their 23-2 loss to the Buffalo Bison.

Clayton Kershaw didn’t homer on Opening Day, like he did a few years ago.
