The Baltimore Orioles are interested in upgrading their outfield and have turned to the San Diego Padres and slugger Melvin Upton Jr., ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports.

FOXSports's Ken Rosenthal also confirmed that the Orioles are looking to deal for Upton in addition to pursuing Padres starting pitcher Andrew Cashner in separate deals. The Padres want struggling starter Ubaldo Jimenez and a prospect for Upton and two prospects for Cashner.
