The Lake Elsinore Storm, the Padres’ Single-A affiliate in the California League, are remaining active in their community during this novel coronavirus pandemic.
Their latest venture is partnering with Feeding America with a grab-and-go meal pick-up on Friday at parking lot B at The Diamond.
Feeding America is the largest domestic hunger-relief organization in the nation.
Meals will be available at no cost from 8:30-11 a.m. Friday.
Anderson Chevrolet will provide a refrigerated truck to help maximize the number of people served.
The Storm previously partnered with Shamrock Foods to provide a low-cost meal pick-up/delivery program until suspending those operations last week as lockdown restrictions increased.
