Garrett Richards is again on the comeback trail.
That – not the results in his return to the mound, nor a questionable California League strike zone – is what mattered most to the 31-year-old right-hander.
“When you get into rehab starts, especially after being out this long, I think every outing you try to find new things that you’re trying to do that are ‘you,’” Richards said Thursday night. “I thought tonight I had a good delivery. I attacked the zone. I went right at guys. I feel really good. I felt like I could have kept going.
