Minors: Cantillo strong for TinCaps; Margevicius quality for Sod Poodles

Not even an 85-minute rain delay could slow Joey Cantillo.

The 19-year-old left-hander turned in a third straight quality start with six strikeouts over six strong innings in low Single-A Fort Wayne’s 5-1 win over visiting Dayton on Monday.

Cantillo allowed one run on four hit and two walks in improving to 8-3 on the season and lowering his ERA to a Midwest League-best 2.05.

Cantillo, ranked No. 19 in the Padres system by MLB.com, also leads the circuit with 121 strikeouts, second only to MacKenzie Gore (124) among Padres prospects.
