At one point this season, the San Diego Padres had the best bullpen in baseball. While that still may be true, this staff has taken a step back over the last month or so. Jason Adam and David Morgan have both gotten injured. Jeremiah Estrada and Adrian Morejon haven't been great in September, and even Robert Suarez has faltered a couple of times.
But through this storm cloud that's recently covered the Padres' bullpen is Mason Miller. Traded for a boatload of prospects at the deadline, Miller has been as good as advertised, if not, even better than that.
