The fourth game of the four-game series between the San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants ended just like the first three. One side had one more run than the other en route to a win.
The Padres dropped their second game in a row to the Giants, falling 3-2 at Oracle Park, Thursday.
All five of the runs scored in the game came in the third inning. The Padres saw Manny Machado stake them to a two-run lead with a two-run home run to left field off Giants starting pitcher Robbie Ray. For Machado, it was his 350th career home run.
