Jarred Cosart didn’t necessarily need to call any of his former teammates who’d migrated to San Diego this year – Paul Clemens, Brad Hand or Edwin Jackson – to know what to expect in a new hometown. Traded a third time in his career on Friday, the 26-year-old right-hander simply knows the deal by now.
His objective remains the same: Find his niche.
“You never really get used to it,” Cosart said Sunday. “Everyone’s trying to cement their place in one spot and obviously there's a lot of different factors that come into a trade – who wants you, who wants other things for whatever reason.
