In the month of October, rookie Jake Cronenworth took home two different awards for the NL’s Rookie of the Year. The first was a Player’s Choice award, which was voted on by his peers. The other came from the Baseball Writers of America Association.
Despite picking up the honor multiple times already, Cronenworth fell short to the Brewers’ Devin Williams for MLB’s NL Jackie Robinson Rookie of the Year honor, which was announced on the MLB Network Monday afternoon.
Devin Williams is the 2020 National League Rookie of the Year (and the wait goes on for the Padres).
