General Manager A.J. Preller and the San Diego Padres have proven that they aren’t afraid to make a trade this offseason. During the Winter Meetings the Friars moved Ryan Schimpf, Jabari Blash and Enyel Dos Santos in separate deals to land Chase Headley, Bryan Mitchell, Deion Tansel and Freddy Galvis.
With the Winter Meetings come and gone, the Padres now have a good idea on how their plans for the rest of the offeseason. While three trades were already made, San Diego is far from done.
The Padres are taking an interesting approach with their offseason. Their attempting to build for the present adding players like Freddy Galvis and eyeing Eric Hosmer, while also not sacrificing too much of their future.
