For the first time in recent memory, the big bats for the San Diego Padres made some noise — on the same night. Fernando Tatis Jr. and Manny Machado each homered, and Xander Bogaerts added an RBI-double to lead the Padres to a 4-3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Petco Park, Thursday night.
The Diamondbacks scored two runs in the top of the third inning off Padres starter Randy Vasquez to take a 2-0 lead to end the top of the inning. San Diego wasted no time in offering a response in the bottom half of the inning.
