Did the Padres’ luck run out?

After a blistering start to the season, the San Diego Padres have dropped their last three games and seem to be struggling to get consistent starting pitching or fill the holes in their lineup.

The team is lucky to be 11-8 and in 2nd place in the NL West with their run differential, which is worse than every team in the division save the Colorado Rockies that just swept San Diego in their first series matchup of the season. As a matter of fact, there are only two teams in the entire National League with a worse run differential than the Padres, meaning that luck had a lot to do with where the Padres were two weeks into the season.
