Rivers: No reenacting 2015 home finale

The final Chargers home game in 2015 saw quarterback Philip Rivers walk into the locker room shoeless; he had signed and given both cleats away to fans. Safety Eric Weddle made snowless snow angels on the white-painted helmet at midfield of Qualcomm Stadium. That came more than an hour after a Dec. 20 win over the Dolphins.

Coach Mike McCoy joined his players to sign autographs and pose for photos.

This was how the Chargers said goodbye to San Diego. On Sunday, they face a farewell again.

Like in 2015, there is no clear answer today as to whether the final home game of the season will spell the Chargers’ final game ever in San Diego.
