The Spurs want the superstar power forward to stop deferring and to play aggressive basketball, the type of basketball that made him a five-time All Star and the most sought after free agent of 2015.
“I tell him everyday he needs to score more, he needs to shoot the ball more,” Tony Parker said after the Spurs practiced Tuesday. “When he plays like that, like last game, it makes everybody’s job easier. It puts so much pressure on any defense. We need him to play like that.”
Parker was referencing Aldridge’s explosive play against the Chicago Bulls on Christmas.
