Last week we looked at DeMar Derozan heading into free agency on August 2, and this week we’ll focus on the Spurs’ unrestricted free agent Rudy Gay.
Gay just completed his 15th NBA season and his fourth with the Spurs after initially joining the team as a free agent in the 2017 offseason.
Last season Gay was a core part of the Spurs’ bench rotation where he mainly played as the backup 4 and on some occasions, played as a small ball 5. Gay was consistent with his production he brought to the team, logging 63 games, 22 minutes, and he scored 11.
