Even though the vibrant fiesta colors were discontinued by the Spurs in 2003, fans have kept the pink, teal and orange hues alive and present through apparel and throwback apparel including various collections by Mitchell & Ness. San Antonio’s black, silver and white uniforms are undeniably clean, but the Spurs aren’t as traditional and fundamental as they once were – that should be reflected through enhanced color schemes.
Many teams, including two division rivals in the Dallas Mavericks and Memphis Grizzlies, have unveiled throwback courts to commemorate the history of their respective organizations. To take things a step further, Memphis is bringing back the classic Vancouver Grizzlies uniforms that the team donned prior to their move to Grind City.
