Robert Woodard II will join the Austin Spurs at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for their G-League season as a flex-assignment from the Sacramento Kings, per an official press release from the team.
Flex-assigning is the process by which a team without a G-League affiliate participating in the single-site tournament in Orlando can transfer roster players and two-way contract signees between the NBA and a compliant external G-League organization. 17 of the G League’s 28 teams are participating in the Bubble, plus Team Ignite — a developmental team associated with the G League specifically designed for elite NBA prospects looking for an alternate route to draft eligibility than college.
