LOS ANGELES – The Spurs will be without guard Manu Ginobili when they play at the Clippers on Thursday and at Portland on Friday.
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich is giving Ginobili the two nights off for rest. The 39-year-old Argentinian stayed in Houston overnight before flying back to San Antonio on Wednesday morning while the team continued on to Los Angeles.
Ginobili was outstanding in the fourth quarter, scoring nine of his 12 points on a 3-of-3 effort from beyond the arc. He also had three assists, including a drive-and-kick dish to Patty Mills for his game-winning 3-pointer with 12.
