Even the most optimistic of San Antonio Spurs fans couldn't have expected the Spurs to play this well right out of the gate. The Spurs are 11-4, an already dramatic improvement over this time last season and made all the more impressive by the fact that they have been one of the NBA's most injured teams.
The Spurs' depth and next-man-up mentality have saved them as they try to weather their injury storm. Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle, and Dylan Harper are all out, and De'Aaron Fox and company just somehow keep winning and showing that the Spurs are real.
