Erazem Lorbek may finally get his wish.
After sitting out last season overseas, the longtime 6-foot-10 forward from Slovenia is expected to make the trip to San Antonio to workout with the Spurs the Express-News has learned.
If you recall, Lorbek’s rights was traded to the Spurs as part of that 2011 draft night deal which sent guard George Hill to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for the draft rights to forward Kawhi Leonard. The Spurs also received forward Davis Bertans from Latvian in the deal.
But at age 32, Lorbek will have to overcome some obstacles if he truly hopes to play for the Spurs next season.
