Spurs sign Kevin Martin, waive Rasual Butler

The Spurs have signed Kevin Martin and waived Rasual Butler, the team announced Wednesday.

Martin, a 33-year-old shooting guard, averaged 10.6 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 21.4 minutes over 39 games with Minnesota this season. The Timberwolves waived Martin on March 1.

Butler, a 13-year veteran whom the Spurs signed in late Sept, averaged 2.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in 9.4 minutes.

Martin is one of five current players with over 1,000 three-pointers while shooting at least 38% from beyond the arc over his career, along with Stephen Curry, Kyle Korver, Mike MIller and Dirk Nowitzki.
