LOS ANGELES – The Spurs will be without two starters and their sixth man when they face the struggling Trail Blazers on Friday night in Portland.
Coach Gregg Popovich said after the 106-100 loss to the Clippers on Thursday night point guard Tony Parker and center Pau Gasol will miss the game to rest. The Spurs have been without Manu Ginobili (rest) since Wednesday, when he flew to San Antonio after the club opened its three-game road trip with a 102-100 win at Houston.
Knowing he was going to sit Gasol, Popovich limited big man LaMarcus Aldridge to 23 minutes against the Clippers.
