Spurs say they are injury-free for Pelicans game

NEW ORLEANS – The Spurs on Thursday reported no injuries for Friday’s game against the Pelicans, meaning point guard Tony Parker could return to action.

Parker sat out Wednesday’s 100-99 win over Indiana with a right quad contusion he suffered in Sunday’s win at the Lakers.

It’s unclear, though, whether Parker will return because the Spurs face back-to-back games this weekend. Rookie Dejounte Murray started against the Pacers, scoring six points and dishing out six assists.

Murray is 7-0 as a starter. The only other guard in franchise history to match that record in his first year is Parker.
