SAN ANTONIO – Point guard Tony Parker is set to return to action Friday night after missing the last three games with a sore knee, but the Spurs still will not have their complete starting lineup when they host the Detroit Pistons.
That’s because the club also announced after shootaround Friday morning that shooting guard Danny Green will sit out the contest to rest after making his season debut on Wednesday night in the loss to the Houston Rockets. Green had missed the previous seven games with an injured quad.
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich will announce in his media session before Friday’s game who will replace Green in the starting lineup.
