Spurs reportedly had ‘tense’ players-only meeting for Kawhi Leonard’s return

The San Antonio Spurs have missed Kawhi Leonard for all but nine games this season. It started with a mysterious quadriceps injury before the 2017 preseason and lingered into this campaign’s final weeks. There’s still no official timetable for Leonard’s return.

Before Wednesday’s game vs. the Washington Wizards, Manu Ginobili spoke to the media on the various things heard on San Antonio’s star player’s return, and said he’s under the assumption that no comeback will happen before the season ends. Whether that’s the case remains to be seen.

Well, more players apparently spoke up, but it happened behind the scenes.
