OAKLAND, Calif. – Spurs coach Gregg Popovich on Sunday fired his latest salvo at President Donald Trump, calling him “embarrassing” and “dangerous to our institutions and what we all stand for.”
“I feel like there is a cloud, a pall over the whole country in a paranoid, surreal sort of way that’s got nothing to do with the Democrats losing the election,” Popovich said. “It’s got to do with the way one individual conducts himself.”
Speaking at his session with reporters before Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, Popovich launched into his attack on Trump after fielding a question about “whether he ever gets distracted by what’s going on now” in the country.
