SAN ANTONIO – The Spurs have won their last four games by an average of 3.25 points. The gritty stretch includes the back-to-back overtime wins over New Orleans and Minnesota and rallies from 16-point deficits in downing the Timberwolves on Saturday and Houston on Monday.
“The last three games were great for us because sometimes teams need to win the games you don’t play well or shoot well,” Spurs guard Manu Ginobili said. “Those things make you better, make you grow. We take a lot out of these three games.”
Said center Pau Gasol, “Just showing a lot of mental toughness in these types of games, really not giving up, fighting every play.
