The NBA preseason provides teams with an opportunity to try out players and see whether any might be able to stick on their roster. And, in a few cases, some could even crack the rotation despite not being signed with the intention to do so.
That could very well be the case for recently added San Antonio Spurs guard Lindy Waters. Waters has impressed in the team's first three preseason games, living up to his reputation as a knockdown shooter, drilling 50% of his 16 3-point attempts thus far.
The obvious caveat is that it's only preseason, and teams often play unusual lineups with young or unproven players on the court.
