Spurs’ injury list filled with aging players

SAN ANTONIO – Backup forward Matt Bonner has joined fellow thirtysomethings Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili on the Spurs’ inactive list for Saturday night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers, the club announced.

That means the Spurs will attempt to stretch their franchise-best home winning streak to 36 games without their three oldest players. The 39-year-old Duncan has missed the last six games with a sore right knee, while the 38-year-old Ginobili is at home recovering from surgery on Thursday to repair a testicular injury suffered in Wednesday’s win over New Orleans.

Bonner, who at 35 is four months older than 35-year-old teammate David West, left Friday night’s win over the Mavericks in Dallas with a left calf strain.
