When asked Thursday before the Spurs played Philadelphia what Black History Month meant to him, he delivered yet another eloquent speech about how our society has a long way to go in terms of racial equality and awareness.
Popovich said America’s treatment of black people has been “our national sin,” and highlighted that President Donald Trump spent years questioning where former President Barack Obama was born.

“It’s remembrance and a bit of a celebration in some ways. It sounds odd because we’re not there yet, but it’s always important to remember what has passed and what is being experienced now by the black population.
