Spurs’ ‘always active’ Lee ruling offensive boards

SAN ANTONIO – David Lee’s rebounding, particularly on the offensive boards, helped the Spurs overcome big deficits in their last three games to extend their winning streak to nine games.

Lee is averaging 8.0 rebounds, including 3.0 on the offensive end, over that three-game span, which saw the Spurs rally from 16 points to beat Minnesota on March 4, 16 points to down Houston on Monday and 28 points to defeat Sacramento on Wednesday night.

Lee had eight rebounds, including five on the offensive end, in the 112-110 victory over Houston. In the 114-100 win over the Kings, he started at power forward in place of the resting LaMarcus Aldridge and finished with 10 rebounds, including two offensive boards, to go along with 18 points for his sixth double-double of the season.
