Spurs’ Aldridge cleared to return to action

SAN ANTONIO – The Spurs announced Wednesday morning that forward LaMarcus Aldridge has been cleared to resume all basketball-related activities.

Aldridge has an occurrence of minor heart arrhythmia in Oklahoma City on March 9. After multiple tests and consultation with numerous experts by the club, the Spurs cleared him to return to action.

“We are thankful LaMarcus will be able to rejoin the team,” Spurs general manager R.C. Buford said in a statement. “All of us have been impressed with the professionalism and the grace he has shown in dealing with this difficult situation.”

Aldridge is available for Wednesday night’s game against Portland without restrictions, per the Spurs.
