San Antonio Spurs fans and draft experts alike were a little surprised to see Quinndary Weatherspoon selected with the 49th overall pick in the draft.
But from what we’ve seen so far, it looks like the Spurs have found another solid contributor in the second round.
The former Mississippi State Bulldog averaged 13 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2 assists per game while shooting 50% from the field during two impressive games in the Salt Lake Summer League.
And he followed that up with a strong start to the Las Vegas Summer League schedule with 19 points on 6-of-14 shooting with 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals in his lone appearance thus far.
