Patty Mills’ 2017-18 season has seen his role flip a few times. He began the year on the bench for the San Antonio Spurs, followed by taking over as the starting point guard for Dejounte Murray, then moved back to the bench for Tony Parker. Without Danny Green for Friday night’s game vs. the Denver Nuggets, Mills moved back to the starting lineup and played next to Murray.
With a final stat line of 21 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds, it marked one of the Aussie’s best performances of the season. However, for his career, this line achieved him an assists milestone: 1,000 for his career in San Antonio, as the Spurs noted on their Twitter account Saturday:
