Although the San Antonio Spurs didn’t suit up for the NBA’s slate of games on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, they still honored the late Dr. King in their own way. As one of the guiding voices of the locker room, point guard Patty Mills spoke to the AT&T Center crowd about the team’s visit to the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, TN and the lasting influence of Dr. King.
Mills, a proud Indigenous Australian, capped off his Instagram post with a short and simple quote from Dr. King: “The time is always right to do what is right.
