The San Antonio Spurs waived Jimmer Fredette on Wednesday. The 26-year-old was seen as a long shot to make the team. Unfortunately for the 10th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft he wasn’t given a fair shot during preseason play. Fredette played in two preseason games for a combined 26 minutes. In that time, Fredette had a total of four points, six rebounds, and two assists. He shot 2-for-10 from the field.
Fredette struggled from the field, but it was too small of a sample size. His six rebounds in such little time certainly opened some eyes.
