The San Antonio Spurs started the weekend slow. It was a defensive-minded battle vs. the Toronto Raptors, resulting in an 86-83 loss on the road, where the Spurs have struggled for most of the 2017-18 season. This was without Kawhi Leonard, Rudy Gay and Manu Ginobili, too.
Most of this season has been marred by injuries. Whether it’s the previously mentioned players, Kyle Anderson’s knee injury from December or Tony Parker’s quad, head coach Gregg Popovich has rarely received the chance to use the full roster of players.
As for Sunday’s game vs. the Indiana Pacers, this won’t change.
